Goats, cattle and the case for pasture

Along Ngezi Road, Chegutu Livestock & Dairy raises goats, cattle and free-range chickens entirely on open pasture, and milks their small dairy herd fresh every morning.

Pasture-raising takes longer and yields less per animal than intensive feeding, but the farm has stuck with it because it is what the land here supports well, and because customers can taste the difference in the milk.
